Circular Window Palma Cathedral Majorca
Circular Window Palma Cathedral Majorca

Palma Cathedral on the Balearic island of Majorca houses some of the most amazing stained glass pieces in Europe. Following an 1851 earthquake the cathedral was rebuilt using designs by Madrid architect Juan Bautista Peyronnet.
At the beginning of the 20th century, the architect Antoni Gaudí adapted the interior space of the Cathedral to recover the space of the faithful, the visibility of the choral presbytery, the episcopal chair and the Chapel of the Trinity. The legacy of Gaudí's work has passed through the entire 20th century in the process of opening the stained glass windows which allow incoming light to be projected onto the inner surfaces of the building.
